Smallwood, Reynolds, Stewart, Stewart & Associates Architects

We would like to recognize the passing of a dedicated and longtime employer partner and alumni, Bill Loomis (1978-2003). Bill Loomis received his Bachelor and Master of Architecture degrees (2001, 2003) from the University of Cincinnati College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning and spent his entire career at Smallwood, Reynolds, Stewart, Stewart & Associates (SRSSA) Architects in Atlanta, GA, becoming a principal in 2019.

Bill started a co-op program for both interior design and architecture students in 2015 and acted as the primary supervisor. Overall, Bill supervised a total of 24 students during his career. The influence of his supervision, education, and mentorship of these students – it is obvious when noting these students went on to work in 23 different cities in 17 different states. We are saddened by the loss of this longtime partner, yet eternally grateful for Bill Loomis, his vision to establish a co-op program at SRSSA, and his tireless mentorship over an eight-year span. Our thoughts and prayers are with Bill’s family and his colleagues.  His obituary is linked here.
