Fatima Khan is a third year Medical Science major and on-campus co-op, working as a Research Assistant for Dr. Robin Selzer. Their research investigates the use of the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI), a premier cross-cultural assessment, with high achieving pre-med students to explore how they navigate differences and adapt to find common ground.
Fatima quickly pivoted to conduct this research in a virtual, remote environment by utilizing her strong organizational and interpersonal skills. “Fatima is mature, extremely responsible, and I trust her to manage many communication aspects of the study because I know she will follow through and maintain professionalism in her interactions,” said Dr. Selzer.
This research compliments Dr. Selzer’s recent publication, Using the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) With First-Year, Pre-Med Students: Impacting the Human Side of Healthcare.
